The Madonna

This beautiful and unusual pearl was found in a strand of natural freshwater pearls in 2008. The image of the Madonna was recognized instantly as my hands began to shake. The Lady was stored in a secure place but not forgotten. In time freshwater pearls would occupy my time and calm me through the storm of hurricane Ike as I learned to design, string and knot. The passion to know more led me to discover that other semi-precious stones are also spoken of in the bible. 12 are found on the breastplate of the high priest. I wondered why. There was no jewelry designer in me at first, however, thanks to the Lady, birth was given to "GrailStone Jewelry" on May 16, 2019.
